Ok thanks guys/gals. I figured with it being an entry point it was most likely always navigable, but i just watched a video of a group that couldn't paddle part of Cherokee creek that had me nervous as I've been that way and never had an issue. In fact, the two times I've been going through the 180 to Cherokee from the south, I'm going through some kind of small overflow, over the portage near the end.

I've done it early July in 2020 and 2021 and the water levels were doable and those were both drought years.

I believe from researching other forums posts that the creek is partially spring fed so it helps with water level.

There are a couple beaver dams we had to drag over and one we actually had to completely get everyone out of the canoe and pull it through a little gap.

Pretty little route and really nice camp spots on Perent.

I've been down Hog Creek five times in the past ten years in much dryer conditions than this year and have never had trouble getting to Perent Lake. My trips were late September and early October.

As for beaver dams, I recall two for sure, possibly three, but that could be all different today. The dams are easy pullovers.

I'm sure this has been asked before but my search didn't return much.

Generally speaking; how is the paddle up and down Hog Creek to Parent in the fall assuming lower water levels. I know there are some beaver dams to hop over. Can anyone chime in as to how many there are this year? Any thoughts on the depth of the creek in the fall? For example. is it always paddling depth or are there times it's not passable?
