Thank you for your response. It was helpful and I was able to go see the pictographs today. I almost always go to the Gunflint sign and because I had to pick up a Canoe today. It gave me a good excuse to be able to see the big grass. I have wanted to see them since I knew they existed so it was a pretty exciting day for me.

Long story short, I will be in Ely this Friday picking up my new to me canoe and was wondering how long it would take to hike to the pictos on North Hegman? And would it be easy and safe to find them?
