07/06/2012 11:48AM We fished the bass primarily with three different methods. In the rain we pitched tube jigs to mid-size boulders. We caught fish slip bobbering leeches rain or shine. When the sun was out, we focused on the topwater bite with Rapala Skitterpops, thrown to shore near rocks. If we saw a fish surface, that was our next cast. The pike all came while bass fishing. Tube jigs, topwaters, and shallow running raps. |

07/01/2012 04:06AM that entire flowage from basswood through LLC IMO is the best fishing in BWCA on a consistent basis. Some other lakes are close,, but nothing really certain other then lakers. Throw in pies'-- and it takes the fishing crown. |
