quote SevenofNine: "Thanks, it looks like it will take most of the daylight hours but can be done if we get an early start."
Is there much current on that stretch of water?

OK - I just went to lake over the beaver dam, not to site 43.

I used the trip maker and it came up with 6.6 miles from EP9 to Camp site #43... I see from EP14 it is 5.8 miles...my bad.

From where? I get close to 4 miles on Google Earth from EP 14 to Lower Pauness following the water. Just curious how this should be measured.

6.5 miles @ a good pace would be 7-8 hours...?
That would assume stops and 1MPH average...on snowshoes.

I'm thinking of a trip to Lower Pauness in a few weeks. I was wondering what the travel time by snow shoe would be to Lower Pauness? Thanks and any site suggestions are welcome.

Since it was brought up I was asking from entry point 14.
