04/26/2014 07:53PM This was in the UP. There was at least 2 feet of ice, but with recent rain and warmer weather (above freezing at night) the ice was very, very soft. With a hand auger I would drill about 6-8" and push the rest of the way thru... |

04/26/2014 06:34PM Looks like it was well worth it. What lake were you fishing? I have a friend say that ice was still 2 feet and this was well south of the BW. |

04/25/2014 08:19PM Got out on the ice(?) one last time today. It was not comfortable and I wore a life vest all day. This is the latest in the season that I have ever gone and I won't go again tomorrow. Here are a couple pictures from the day. I am eager to get back camping next winter.
