Thanks for the update,
sometimes the ice sags a little in one spot, snow drifted to one side of he lake and a little more weight etc. Maybe more slush where the inlet is present.

Thanks for the update. It sounds pretty bad in a number of places right now. I was hoping to get up there soon for another trip, but am a bit worried about what I will find.

We just got back from a trip to Lake One and Two and it was slushy. It was seriously slow going, as we would hit large patches of slush. The slush was so bad that we were faster than a dog sled team as they were getting stuck every 100 feet or so. It was ugly.

Great trip, more difficult than any other winter trip I have done, but still a good trip.

Oddly enough, Lake One north eastern part was terrible, but the section heading into Lake Two had no slush, but by that time our sleds were like pulling anvils from all the slush frozen on the bottom.

The wider sleds had less problems with the slush than the narrow ones. Our cheap orange expedition sled performed the best in the slush. It floated a bit more than the other pulks.
