I was there one week ago, and I agree with Papa's synopsis. Four small beaver dams. You can make quick work of the creek.

The water is deep on both sides of the dams so taking turns for the font and back person to get out, and pull half the canoe over (before getting back in) was effective.

Water levels were above average I would say. Four pullovers on Larch Creek to get into Larch Lake. We exited that entry this past Thursday.

I'll be out that way soon. I'm curious too, because I thought it would be low after a mild winter...

I came out that way in August of last year. Water levels were fine, but there were probably 6 pullovers. If you get going too quickly you'll blow through the turns, so take your time and enjoy the paddle!

I'll be there in a couple weeks and can let you know!

I entered Larch Creek in the June of 2014. Myself and two 12.yo boys in one canoe. Water levels were just fine. Lots of turns and a few obstacles to pull over. Pace yourself and enjoy the paddle. It is a great entry into the park.

Put in at Larch Creek.
