09/13/2016 02:12PM I'd say bring it but call Canadian customs and ask. I've found them friendly and helpful, unlike the typical DMV/government agency in the US. All of my calls to Canadian agencies like Quetico office and the customs people, and I called for boating regs once, have been very helpful and pleasant. |

09/13/2016 01:32PM A follow up question for those taking their own kids. Would this eliminate the need and hassle of bringing a notarized letter from the other parent? |

09/05/2016 05:51PM I've applied in person at Fort Frances, it did not take very long so I'm not sure there would even be time to go somewhere else, but I don't think once they take the application you need to be there - though I didn't ask so not sure. I believe the cost for a family is the same as an individual . . . And remember . . . It's Canadian dollars. |

09/05/2016 01:24PM 18 and over require their own RABC. Don't forget passport or WHTI doc for return. And RABC can cover under 18s other than your own, like Scouts. |

09/05/2016 11:32AM Never done it in person but I do get one for the entire family, it covers myself, wife and my 2 boys. I think the cut off for the kids is after age 18 they need their own RABC. Last time I got one it took 3 weeks when I did it by mail. I think they say give 6 weeks to make sure, sorry never tried to get one in person. T |

09/05/2016 09:17AM Hello, I have a couple questions regarding obtaining a RABC, it has been a few years since I last went to the Quetico. 1) If applying in person, say at Pigeon River, can you leave the premises while the application is being processed? For instance, if there is a wait, could you hang out at Grand Portage State Park and return to pick it up later? 2) I think I am reading the information correctly, but is the total cost for a family application $30? Thanks. |
