timatkn	01/18/2017 08:22AM Just to confirm, I've taken my young kids twice and just the birth certificate was needed for re-entry. Both times in Ely, stopping in at the customs center near the FS lodge. T

I also have taken my son to Canada a few times the last couple of years and in each case the certificate was good as long as younger than 16. I found this information on the us passport site..." Answer: Children under sixteen need only present proof of U.S. citizenship in order to enter Canada. When returning to the United States from Canada, U.S. citizens under the age of 16 need only present a birth certificate (original, photocopy or certified copy), Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or naturalization certificate. If your daughter will be traveling to Canada with someone who does not have full legal custody, CBSA requires those with whom your daughter is traveling to present a notarized affidavit of consent from the minor’s parents or legal guardians. There is no specific form for this document, but it should include dates of travel, parents’ names and photo copies of their state-issued IDs." I would call someone at the customs up at the border for sure.
Rob Johnson	01/10/2017 08:04PM It would appear I can add my 11 year old daughter to my RABC using only her birth certificate. However...I think she needs a passport to come back into the US...TRUE?
