Hennessey of Warbonnet?
Just starting my initial search and compare. What's the general consensus?

i have had both, in my opinion, dutchware hammocks are the most comfy lay. the hexon material is so nice. i just traded my 2 dutch hammocks for his chameleon model with the attached bugnet. took a 2 hour nap in it yesterday. dutchware.com. check it out, any questions ask.

I use a WB Blackbird since 2009. I like it a whole lot and my only compaint is that the fabric blocks my view from side to side when laying in it.

The dutchware chameleon looks mighty impressive. If I was in the market I would really research this one. Chameleon Video

I'm going to wait a couple of years on this one for myself. I never like buying version one of something knowing they will probably tweak the design once the reviews start coming in.

+1...I started with a Hennessy, but it was too small and my legs were not comfortable.

i started with hennessy, it was also too short, major calf issues. then i went to the warbonnett xlc. better than the hennessy, but still not right for me.
dutch came out with his hammocks, bought one, an 11 ft., no net. i was sold.
the hexon fabric was so nice to the touch. the first time i strung it up, it was a no brainer. i bought a bugnet to slip over it. missed the attached bugnet, then the chameleon came out.
with the hennessy and xlc, when the bug net was zipped up, it seemed to tighten the hammock, not so with the chameleon.
he designed the hammock with a foot bed and head area, and the bug net was cut to follow that shape. you can lie either end. tie outs on the sides allow the hammock to be pulled out. i have not used them yet, and handy clips along each side hold your uq cords along the hammock, net edge, keeping them completely out of your way.
i bought the hexon 1.6 weight, straps and new beetle buckles. couldn't be easier.
his new straps are lighter than the black straps.
i was ready to give up hammock camping until i got his hammocks, and with the chameleon, it has changed my mind.

I have the Hennessy Ultralight Backpacker and at 5/9" it fit me quite nicely, but taller people would have a problem with the 10' length. I sleep great in it but it's a bit heavy and so I moved on to the next "best" thing, the Warbonnet Blackbird. I wanted to love this hammock because of all the hype, but no matter how I hung it I had serious calf ridge issues, so I was thrilled when Dutch introduced the Chameleon on Kickstarter. I got the hexon 1.6 material with bugnet and winter cover, and have hung in it on a BWCAW trip in June and a Quetico trip in July. I slept great, had no calf ridge issues. The quality is second to none, and details like the under-quilt suspension hooks and zippers on both sides, plus being able to lay diagonally in all directions make this hammock a rock star.
