For those of you in the north metro - North of 694, south of Hinkely/Milacs... would you be interested in a winter meet up in late November/December/January?

Just a chance to build deeper friendships with "neighbors", and the like. Just a thought.

Heck, I am on Minnetonka, but would be interested in a Wing Night!

Pick a date that you like, pick a place that you like, and let us know. People that can make it will show. We usually get good turn outs.

Yes that sounds great! Thanks.

What if you are 1 block west of I694?

Are you going to set up that snow tent for everyone to pile in?

How about Friday November 10th? I could be there. If it was Saturday the 11th I might be able to go. I'm in Nowthen which is near Elk River/St Francis

Depending on the date, I may be able to make it even from here in southwest Minneapolis. Keep us all posted!

"Build it and they will come" something I picked up somewhere.

Mind if an old geezer "sconie" attends? Give me a good counterpoint to the holiday Arizona family trip I have planned!

I don't really know why I even said November... I'm pretty much solidly booked! I'll keep you guys posted though on a date.

Meanwhile, which location would you like best? (Please vote in order of preference).

The Roadside, Blaine
Kendall's Tavern & Chophouse, Coon Rapids
Acapulco Mexican Restaurant, Ham Lake
Wintergreen's Golf & Grill, Isanti

Oh inspector13... ;-) Yes - you can come too.

Love Don Julio's in North Branch. Do they have a good spot for a group like us? I figure if I'm visiting my son there, then I can come. Lol.

BP-Do you think Acapulco can still handle us if I show up? :-)

BP is smart-he knows this is a decision that requires contemplation.

If it helps I promise to be somewhat civilized unless Kiporby shows up then all bets are off. Kip is considering.

Have we decided on a date yet?

My ability to show up on Friday November 10th has vastly improved so I'd say I'm 95% able to come that night and Saturday the 11th in the evening is a definite at 100%.

I think we should pick a date and if it can't be that weekend thats ok.

Based on Lindsey's reply I thought it might be moved to December. Which might work for me as recovery might require a smaller diaper bag. Haha.

December can work but its hard this far out to say what dates work so I'll wait to hear what everyone is able to do.

The flock of ducks are a big fat maybe. Starting in November we have soccer and or basketball 21 out of 26 weekends.

I'd rather have that many weekends in October.

Too funny! I'll try rewording.... starting the first weekend November until the end of April there are 26 weekends and we have indoor soccer and/or basketball during 21 of those weekends.

The Midwest Mountaineering Expo is in November. I always run into a few members there. Hope to take in oldsalt's presentation on The Alaska Highway.

Ok!

Lets tentatively plan Acapulco Mexican Restaurant in Ham Lake. I believe this is off Hwy 65, north of Blaine.

I'm a NO GO for November. Between moving, Basecamp Kids birthday, Thanksgiving, and my other niece and nephews birthday I'm totally OUT for November.

We could do December....

Or, how about mid- January? We're just ahead of the BWCA reservation date, we're all itchy to get out and go somewhere, and some of us have our plans solidified... thoughts?

I'm open to December, but I know that gets busy with holiday plans.
