On my WBBXL I have woopies that go around a Dutch buckle, the X shaped piece he sells. My question is, what should I use to connect my woopies on my new RR to the tree strap?

Are you wanting to use the whoopies for weight savings? What did your ridgerunner come with?

I've always liked woopies. Figured I'd like em on the RR too. That's what I ordered it with

What about just a pair of Dutch Biners, amsteel loop on the strap end to the biner, and then your whoopie on the other side of the biner, easy to clip on and off the tree.

I just use a ti spike with a loop of brightly colored cord so i don't lose it. Easy to adjust but needs some tension to keep it in place. I like it most for the quick set up and take down.

You use that with an RR?

Yup. When adjusting I keep an eye on it to make sure the middle of the spike isn't sliding, but as long as you're not doing HUGE adjustments it shouldn't move. It cuts weight using super light spikes and help make up for the weight of the poles when backpacking.

So I got the RR a few days ago, I'm really happy with it so far. The suspension with woopies is a nicer setup than I was expecting. I wasn't sure how a woopie cord would connect to the 3 point system on the RR, but now I see that it's almost the exact same as on my WBBXL, I plan on getting another set of Dutch buckles and just using those like I have been.
