for those of you using your ccs tarp, i have a 12 x10, that would give me a 12 ft. ridge-line, and lot's of coverage to the ground. my dutch hex tarp is 11 ft. good coverage, less tie outs.
what size ccs tarps are you using?
only thing about the ccs tarps, i use dan's reflective cord to tie it down tight, not dutch's bling and zing it, or lash it line.
since the ccs tarp is heavier, i also use a continuous ridgeline to help hold it up.
curious to hear other ccs tarp user's methods.

I use 2 CCS tarps for my girlfriend's and my hammock. I have a 10x12 that I bought ave used for a long time. It covers my WBBXL perfectly, I only had issues when trying to squeeze 2 hammocks under 1 tarp in a 3-tree setup. Recently I bought some bridge hammocks, and also a 10x14 1.1oz, the extra 2 feet of coverage is priceless, but totally unnecessary if I was hammocking alone.
Dan's reflective cord sucks. I used it for a year on my tarp setup before I bought 1.75mm lash it. Dan's cord stretches a LOT when wet. If I need to retighten my tarp just because it rained, then the rope sucks. I'm not sure why you don't use dutch gear, Lash it literally doesn't stretch in my experience. I have a continuous ridgeline with a micro Dutch hook on the dumb end, and Dutch tarp wasps on the other end. I probably have the exact same setup as you, except my rope is basically abrasion-invincible, stretch proof, lighter, thinner and much stronger, and I can setup a perfectly tought tarp in under 5 minutes, staked out and all and never think about it again, no matter the weather.

I have a 10x12 CCS 1.1 that is set-up in the ridge line stuff sack Dan sells. I don't have the reflective line, but I use the yellow cordage that he sells. I have not noticed any stretch. I have 50 ft for the ridgeline, and 25 feet at each corner, and the middle tie out on each side. I haven't had too little line yet, but often have way more than needed!
One night I set up parallel to the shore line, and overnight the wind switched directions and it started raining. The 12 foot ridge line kept me dry, but the wind was blowing straight into the hammock through one end. With 5 feet of tarp on each side, I was able to cross the ends, basically shutting the door on the foot end, and keeping the wind at bay. I think anything bigger might limit your hanging options more than it would help with coverage.
