Does anyone use a gear sling under their hammock? It would be nice to have my pack off the ground when it is raining out or to keep the mice out. Currently, I just use a piece of plastic to lay my pack on it. It looks like you would have to hang extra high, just to have it fit underneath. ENO underbelly

For me I wouldn't want to hang so high to get that under me. I think just finding good high ground for the gear and covered up works well. I use a very old rain poncho to cover gear and firewood.

That said, you could hang that between other trees and cover up with a small tarp or even a poncho like I use. That seems to be a good idea for me. But I don't need to add more gear at the moment.

I bought one but have never used it precisely because I would have to hang so much higher to have it work effectively. I just leave my pack on a 4'x5' sil-nylon mat below my hammock.
