Hello!
I'm looking for suggestions on a entry point last weekend of Sept. Our group is fishing focused with the idea of portaging/going a few lakes deep the first day and staying there the duration of our trip. Any suggestions on a lake you have done well fishing on? I have entered on Snowbank, Brule, and Sawbill so looking for something different. ANY info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What species are you targeting?

Walleye and Smallmouth. I've been researching all morning there's just so many options! I want to get away from the lakes I know, and entry points I've been too.

Go in at 22/23 and head anywhere. Basswood Lake, Basswood River below any of the falls, Crooked Lake, heck even Boot, Fairy, Beartrap, etc. All reachable in a day depending on how fast you are or how far you want to go.

Big fan of Beartrap here. Dead end, one camp site - it'll be quiet if it's yours, and end of September, chances are reasonable. We've done well on 'eyes and smallies in September there.
