Yes good luck to everyone and please for the love of all that is holy wear a safety harness and strap yourself into whatever tree you are sitting in this weekend. Also a life line is a great investment that allows you to stay strapped in and safe every second you are off the ground. Since most falls happen when you are climbing up or down out of your stand a life line is cheap insurance. Forecast looks wet so those stands are going to be slippery.

So in short be safe and shoot a big one!

I don't get quite as excited about deer hunting as I used to but to my son who just turned 10 the excitement was through the roof. We went out Saturday morning and about 15 minutes into our hunt he shot this buck. While not a trophy in most people's eyes we made a memory that neither if us will ever forget.

That is what it's all about right there!! My Dad passed away from cancer 6 years ago, and every time I am in my stand, I think of all the memories. Tell your boy, Congrats!!
