Was hoping I could get some help with fishing snowbank. Heres what my plan is so far...
I will be hauling a 4wheeler and a 2 person frabil sled ice house. It will be a friend and myself. There are a few spots I have picked out (a couple outside the bwca boundaries and a couple within).
A couple questions. What access do most people use to get on the lake (entry point access or Smitty's)? If Smitty's, do they charge to use their access and are they ok with parking? I'm ok with paying but just wondering.
Also, does anyone know of the ice conditions and places to stay away from in general?
Thanks a bunch!

Give it another two weeks, then call Smitty's about the ice conditions.
The thickness is sporadic, and this 10+ inches of snow we just got won't help.

Thanks Jim, will do. How is the ice on burntside, still spotty? Also, will you have any Cisco's this year? Will have to stop by for some bait before we head out.

Did you make it to Snowbank? How were the lake and road conditions?

There was about 12+ inches of good ice pretty much everywhere we drilled holes. The roads were good besides a couple spots with a lot of slush and water (which got worse from all the vehicles passing through). I was able to make it all over with the wheeler and trucks had no problem at all making their own path.
