I have a Primus Lander Express. (Discontinued). I basically bought it for its steel pump to modify an Exponent Expedition. But our group is only two anymore, an I THINK the pump will fit the msr red fuel bottles. ?? It runs white gas. Flame spread?? We cook with a GSI 10" aluminum dutch oven, a 10" aluminum restaurant skillet, and a thin 5 cup perk. How is the btu, flame spread, simmer, fuel usage etc. ?? Any bad cons/characteristics to note?
I was hoping Butthead or someone knew a little about these. I do like the looks of the metal pump set-up. My exponent fuel supply is nearly gone, and am considering this stove as our primary stove just the way it is for two people. Thanks in advance for the help. oth

Does it or you have a Primus Ergo Pump ?

If so it can use primus gas fuel bottles and MSR fuel bottles both have the same thread as well as Sigg fuel bottles. It can also use canister gas like MSR, Primus, Coleman, Jetboil----any Lindal valve canister. The bayonet slide on fitting can be unscrewed from the fuel hose to reveal a male lindal valve. Hope that clears your thoughts, post a photo if you can for better determination as Primus makes a variety of pump. I have a different style Primus pump to use with proprly jettet MSR liquid fuel stoves, also had the adaper equiped Ergo pump but sold it with a Brunton Vapor AF multi fuel stove.
Ergo pump with the adapter MSR bottle Brunton Vapor AF.
Photo of it dis-assembled.

This looks like a stove that I purchased on sierra trading post a few years ago for a steal. Have not used it much, only one trip w 2 people. I do like the pump, it's sturdier than the msrs i've seen. has fit various mfg fuel bottles with no prob. sorry for lack of details. one thing: i'd like to rig some type of base to attach the legs to for stability. have had a few ideas but not implemented anything. open for suggestions on this.

It might just work or easily adapted to fit with a MSR Trillium base

I've used the ErgoPump with MSR stoves, re-jetted RapidFire and WindPro, to use liquid fuel. Also considerable use of an Optimus Nova with this pump. They look and feel more reliable but in my uses there has been no difference in reliability (no failure for either), with the current MSR pumps. Internals are very similar for both, pump cups wore out similarly and same number of O-rings, just the fittings body materials and weights differ.

Thanks guys. It does appear to be the ergo pump and does fit my red fuel bottles. I think I got this at STP also a few yrs ago on a deal. Have not lit it yet, and does not seem as stable as my old expedition 2 burner, but hopefully the burner will spread to heat my 10" pot/skillet. At least I'm ready to test it. Found the res fuel bottles I had misplaced and looking forward to testing. Thanks for the stability/base tip too. oth

I have a new MSR Windpro II. Fired it up and I there is a large orange flame coming out out from underneath the burner out of the three holes in the stem leading up to the burner. Any thoughts what the problem is or how I can fix it?
