Has anyone fished the Little Indian Sioux River downstream of Devils Cascade before Loon Lake?

In late July, our group will be paddling through there and I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to plan on some extra time fishing that section of the river. From satellite imagery and members photos of the area, it looks rather weedy with lily pads scattered about. Without ever being there, it looks like it could hold some decent pike.

Thanks!

Probably wouldn't hold anything big then. The water will be too warm.

Thanks Jim. From the imagery, it looks like it could have a deeper channel and of course it will have a small amount of current. Never been through there though so I thought I'd ask. We have found some of the largest pike I've seen in similar environs such as the Granite river North of Clove lake, the Range River before it empties into Jackfish Bay and the Kawishiwi River where it exits Malberg Lake.
