For those of you who have gone from Sag to John or North Fowl or vise versa which direction would you recommend? with the current(east to west) or prevailing winds(west to east)?

Other than the Granite River area- (where going downstream is much easier; esp in low water). West to East would be my preference and potentially have prevailing winds at your back. Done this route 3 times.
