My group is currently sitting with an odd number of people. We are looking at the possibility of renting a solo canoe if we can't find another person. We are headed up the Little Indian Sioux North in June.

I have never gone through an outfitter before. Do most outfitters make you pick up the canoe in Ely, then you transport it to the entry point? Or do any outfitters drop off canoes at the entry points? I feel like this may happen at larger entry points like Moose Lake, but maybe not LIS.

Or you could rent a 3 man canoe. Then you have 1 less canoe to portage

You can transport it or the outfitters can for a fee.

I recommend you find a way to attach it to your vehicle. The LIS EP is over 30 miles from Ely, and that may be a substantial delivery and pick up charge.
