Doctor says that I'm about 6 months behind in my recovery because I had my hip done after my knee and they had to revise the hip two months after they put. So my summer is not going to be a very active one.

Sorry to hear that. Hope the 2nd hip surgery works better than the 1st and that PT works well for you.

I'm on my 3rd hip replacement in a month....... with one more scheduled in 3 months.just contacted a lawyer last Thursday.....I just canceled my summer.

Man, you're really hip... sorry you guys. I have the same kinda thing going so I’m doing what I can to be active. I can’t get my stamina back for one. I’m going to push myself a bit, but too much and I’m back to square one. I hope both you guys get back at it soon!

I'm having a hard time walking because on my last surgery they put In what they called, antibiotic infused spacer joints and cement. This is supposed to emit antibiotics to the area to ensure the infection is gone....Its been a tough row to hoe ,as this part is rigid and does not rotate very well. I'm on a Walker and can barely do that....arugh

Yogi, maybe in the future we can do a trip on Basswood and fish Little Long together. I know both lakes pretty well. Get well my friend. Gettin old ain't for a sissy. Keep pushin on. And I do like Rum....

That sounds great. Have never been to either one. Sounds like it would next year before I can do to anything. My weight limit right now is only 30 pounds to waist and 15 to shoulder 5 over head. Doing therapy two days a week. Been off work since last August, have been released to go back to work with restrictions. But work will not take me back until I am fully recovered. Sucks really bad

My doctor told me that the reason why the first one didn't take is that they said that my body did not accept it. So they said that they were going to use one with stronger growth hormones.

I can't walk much more than about a hour or so on flat ground. Hate to think what it would feel like if I was out in the bdub. Doctors say that it's going to be like this for about a year.

Really sorry to hear about all of the problems or pain with the surgeries. Hopefully all will be better in the long run.

Man, you guys are weathering some rough seas! Maybe you can work on some upper body or shoulder exercises for range of motion to put your mind off your hip problems. Cabin with a view to get some nature exposure. Find something to keep your spirits up.

Bob, the lawyer and I are in the meet and greet stage. Someone has caused me great pain.
Now I'm wondering if I should switch dr.or hospitals. I like the doc. Funny thing is I asked my ex for help when everyone just bombarded me with so much. She used to be the executive secretary to the CEO of the hospital...

I usually take my trip around June 15 for a couple weeks. Bob, I'm just down the road from you. By I-80 And the Hampton dam.

Take some day trips into the BWCA with no portage areas if you can.
