What lure are you throwing between May 27 and Jun 2?

This will be our second trip. During the first trip two years ago on the last week in June, we strictly threw crankbaits called ‘Wally Divers’ by Cotton Cordell. Caught walleye, pike, smallie. Have been stocking the box with more of those and all sizes and depths of Rapala cranks.

What lures are you putting on your spinning reel that week?

Don't get carried away. You will probably only use 5 to 10 at most in your trip.

95% of my tackle is the Rapala jointed shad raps #5 & #7 in mostly the shad color.

swimbaits with OutKast tackle heads
Spinnerbaits
X rap rapala
Poppers
Grubs
Ned rigs
Hair jigs for Clearwater lakes

The OutKast tackle swimbait heads go through the rocks without getting snagged. They work with swimbaits, grubs and other plastics.

Cool, I picked up some Mepps tonight. Have some Rapala cranks, Rapala poppers, and Mepps spinners now. Heading up from OK on Sunday.. should have wet lines on Monday!

White twister tail and jig head. The question I would be asking is where would you be throwing. I’d start by keying on moving water and going from there.

Exactly... white twister tail on a jig. And keep casting to shore.

One of the lures to remember is just a silver spoon. We really target Lakers with them in June.

Lazy Ike is one of my favorites for throwing for smallies or northern pike.
