8 days for me headed in at Lake one

Wow, bunch of ya going in. Have a good time and if fishing, catch lots. Little jealous, but sitting here soaking in the breeze off the lake I feel pretty lucky. Course, it feels better after working hard before it got to warm. I miss mostly the excitement before and during my trips. Sometimes rent a bunkhouse just to hear people get going in the morning with anticipation. Don’t ever lose that! Nothing more exciting than a canoe trip on my book!

15 days for me, heading in Moose Lake headed toward Knife and Kek, everything’s looking good. Just need to do the grocery shopping a few days ahead of time, booze, permit, and bait in Ely the night before. And, of course, dinner in Ely as well, then a terrible night’s sleep and on the water by 7 am.

Can’t wait,

Tony

T minus 15 days until a basecamp trip out of Seagull with friends. Absolutely cannot wait. It's a wonder I haven't started trying to check the extended weather forecast yet.

Agreed, Ray...we'll cross paths again! I'm jealous of your adventure, haven't done a fly-in trip since I was a teenager, looking forward to hearing about yours as well!

Heading to Ely in 12 hours and staying at VNO for the night. Then out to Pine lake (Trout lake entry) for a week of camping and hopefully enough walleyes for several meals.

Great! A person can feel the excitement! Tomorrow night you might have to bunker down a bit with rain, but once that clears I just see some hit and miss stuff. And what trip isn’t complete with out a tad bit of rain.

August 24 is our launch date. On one hand I don't want to rush summer along. On the other hand...

Trip #1 is in the books. Now I have to wait until September.

Have fun Ray. I hope the trip won't be too grueling. And I expect a detailed trip report.

18 days until I go in through Sag to (hopefully) Cherry and SAK. Still in the process of gearing up, but getting close. I’m essentially outfitting a group of 4, but as always the preparation is half the fun!

5 days. Ely and Wood Lake entry are waiting. VNO, we'll be checking in to get our permits sometime Saturday evening. Can't wait.

My trip was modified from tow to Basswood to base camp for 10 days to now staying at Trails End campground due to a ruptured ACL and torn meniscus. Perfect knees until this injury....still can try out the new MegaMat Duo and quilt though...in 24 days

Not going to the Bee Dubs, but about 10 weeks until I leave for my solo road journey to see national parks of the west. Mesa Verde, Rocky Mountain (though I've already been to both of those and may skip straight on to... Yellowstone, Glacier, then down through Olympic, Raineer, then down the PCH to NoCal for Yosemite. Then back across with a stop in Vegas, then Bryce/Zion/Canyonlands, down to the Grand Canyon (never been to the South rim) then across southern New Mexico, to Big Bend, then the desolate and soul crushing 10 hour stretch of interstate from El Paso back home to Dallas. About half camping, half cabins/lodges.

This is something I've always wanted to do, ever since I read Steinbeck's Travels with Charley in the 8th grade (and many times since.)

That's the ambitious plan. I may scale it back. That seems like a month or 6 week long trip and I'm not sure my wife and dogs would be able to tolerate that much time without me home.

Just got back and feel drained but a good drain. Next one is in August with the 1 and 4 year old. I like the warmer weather and no bugs of late August for them.

Not yet. We're driving up via Thunder Bay on Monday. I'm at work but having a bit of trouble concentrating :)
