Hey everyone... I am possibly planning an 8-day trip for next year, either May, June or September. I need some ideas on where to go. Fishing would be the most important part of this trip. Maybe would like to do a PMA. Base camp style but not opposed to moving a few times. We don't care on what side of the park we go. All of our trips so far have been on the west end. So lets hear what all you pros can suggest.

A nice trip is ep 37 up to Malberg. From there you can check out the rock face on Makwa Lake. Makwa is right next to two PMA's so that is also available to you on that route. Fishing is quite decent.. at least I had luck with Pike and Walleye. A guy I talked to said he did well with Trout on Makwa but I never attempted to fish that lake.

Personally I would take two days to get my gear to Makwa and base camp there as it is an amazing looking lake with a lot of lakes around it.
