The only energy drinks I’ve ever seen in plastic bottles were Nos. And I don’t think I’ve seen those for quite a few years. Since energy drinks are my necessary guilty pleasure, is there anywhere in Ely that sells them in plastic bottles? My other option would be to order powder online, but I’d rather not if I don’t have to.

Are you looking for carbonated? If you have access to a Soda Stream you can buy the concentrate. If you don't have a Soda Stream just bring carbonated water and the concentrate.

Zip fizz is the concentrate that I’ve used. Adding it to carbonated water is an interesting idea.

Maybe it's not what you are looking for, but I take a few packets of Crystal Lite with caffeine. It tastes good and doesn't weight anything.

Mio makes caffeine stuff. I also like energy drinks but one they are heavy and two they are in metal most of the time. So I'd take caffeinated Mio and do extra squirts for the bonus caffeine. You could also do the 5 hour energy drinks...those are plastic.

Monster makes a non-carbonated one in a plastic bottle and I'm pretty sure I saw them in one of the convenience stores there.

I like the MIO Energy that have caffeine. I keep a bottle of it in my desk at work when I want a little energy boost late in the day but don't want to make another pot of coffee. They probably don't pack the punch as most of the canned/bottled energy drinks but MIO does work well on trips as they are very small and can simply be added to your bottle of filtered lake water when you want it. We usually take the MIO Sport version with on trips.

Caffeinated Nuun Tabs.

They are all pretty good. Not overly sweet, a touch of fizz/carbonation. Though I think each tab is only 40 grams of caffeine, so that might not be enough for you.

They come in a nice simple plastic tube that doubles as soaked cotton ball holders for a fire kit. You can buy them lots of places, but REI always has them in stock.

I'd recommend the Lime ones, since they can do double duty. Tasty and energizing the morning, extra tasty in the evening with a little whiskey mixed in!

I just enjoy drinking them. Whether I get any actual boost from them is debatable. Ironically, I don’t drink soda, so that’s not an option as a replacement. Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll take a look at that stuff when I go shopping in a couple days.
