For the life of me I cannot understand why people paddle the Red River to Hudson’s Bay, but for different reasons than most. One, I lived the early part of my life along it and it’s probably the worst place to paddle in MN. Second, c’mon, use your imagination, there are a billion possible routes in NA, come up with your own. So I guess that’s why I read yet another book on somebody retracing Eric Sevareid’s route: 1)So I don’t have to 2)To see what, if anything I am missing The book didn’t change my opinion, I’ll come up with my own route. It was interesting reading however.
