...anyone use one?
This hammock hitch looks like it could be handy, maybe at an entry point when you pull in late and plan to start your trip in the a.m. or at a campground that doesn't allow hammocks in trees, etc.

I think that one of my teenagers could ride back there.

In that situation I would use a Tensa4 hammock stand.

It costs a little more but offers more flexibility in where you can put your hammock and tarp.

If 120" is enough separation for the hammock you use I think its a great idea. Don't think it would work for my Dream Hammocks as they would have to much of a slouch in it. And I don't think I would be able to get a good diagonal lay without my head or feet in the back of the vehicle. But that is how I sleep in my hammock. Your hammock sleeping arrangement might be different than mine.

Neat-looking product but would not be wide enough for either of my hammocks.

It looks good on paper but in no way would I ever use it. It is spaced too close together, you would lay in it like a banana. You need way more than that thing allows.

Really? I have an 11' SLD streamliner, and my ridgeline is roughly 108" (I've experimented with lengths from 104" to 112" which would still fit within 120"). From there it's just a few inches more each with for the loops. I don't see 120" being a problem unless you have a 12-13' hammock or use an unusually high or low amount of sag. That having been said, for the kind of money this thing costs, I, too, would just get a Tensa4.
