I thought I saw this somewhere in all the news. True? Hope all this can settle down before paddling season begins up there.
Our trip is later this summer/early fall so I really hope we can get up there by then but...we'll see!

It’s been discussed in the listening point forum. Canadian Border is still open to US citizens.

One big "however"... Americans may cross into Canada, but they must immediately self-quarantine for 14 days. Nice of the Canadians to keep the border open, but I doubt many Americans will want to take them up on the quarantine.
(I wonder if going solo into Q for two weeks counts as self-quarantine.)

If you can go into Quetico and self-quarantine, I'd be good to go ... my first trip is longer than the 14 day quarantine period.
However, an equally likely deterrent is if they close the provincial park system. You can't go if the ranger stations are shut down and the park offices are shuttered.

Not sure about closing the park system. Wide, outdoor expanses are exactly what is in order for this problem. The park staff don't need to come into close proximity with anybody.
Call me a Pollyanna but I don't believe this will continue through the camping season.
