Cool, Kevin! I remember that day. Really felt bad for you guys taking off in the snow and rain and cold. Good memories in that photo.

Interesting progression on hand protection: barehanded, work gloves, full-on neoprene paddling gloves....

Those gloves didn’t last long... beautiful day. Four more days... not sure how it’ll turn out. But going to give canoe country a try this week.

Go for it Ben. Just go at your own pace. Enjoy.

If I went at my pace I’d never get off Poplar...

There are worse places to be! Has anyone ever camped on the campsite on the island on Poplar? It's on the last large island on your left as you are heading towards the Lizz portage.

I was very leary about going with Mark and Lisa. My pain level has been incredibly high all winter. My hands get so bad I can hardly brush my teeth sometimes. But I’ve been battling it and I started using my tenz unit (not sure how you spell it), that deal that sends some kind of stimulus shock or whatever and it’s been settling it down a little. Every little bit is good. It’s been helping my neck so I thought I’d try it on my wrists... The only thing is sitting still long enough to use it. And it only lasts so long... I also realize how many people depend on me for the stupidest things... so I have to just go and let people figure things out for themselves. I’ve never felt so guilty about going away for a few days. Now you know why I’d take 26 and 40 day trips back in the day. Haha.
