Taking a group of 3 to Caribou, the one near EP62, shoving off Sunday morning. One of our guys has never been up to the bwca and I want to give him as good an experience as possible.

I led a different group to Caribou 3 years ago and we had pretty decent success with walleyes and SMB on the shallow, eastern side of the lake along the south shoreline. All this talk of water temps being high for this time of year are making me a little nervous. It is going to be a lot easier if the walleyes are still in the shallower (10 feet and under) eastern side of the bottleneck.

Couple questions-

1) Does anyone know when the walleyes move to the much deeper western side of the lake? Has anyone recently fished Caribou that can give a report?

2) If not, does anyone have a general fishing report from the area from the past few days?

I really appreciate it!
