Mike, If I knew you were going to Sterling I would have told you about a little secret about the Sterling lake campsite. Love that lake.

Adam we didn't have a lot of time we only stayed one night but it was a nice lake and a nice campsite caught perch, walleyes and pike right from camp

Is this a protected secret? We were just at that campsite a few weeks ago and you've definitely piqued my interest!

Mike did you get any smallies on Stuart. I have never caught smallies on that lake and its hard for me to believe that they are not in there.

Thanks for the pictures & the memories! We stayed on that island campsite years ago & Sterling remains one of my favorite lakes in the BWCA.

It was a neat little lake I wish we would’ve taken a layover day to explore it more. We probably could’ve stretched this trip to 15 days had more time on Stuart and Sterling
