We're looking to run across the BWCA on the KEK 2nd weekend in October--starting on the Ely side and running to the gunflint side.
Ideally we could leave from Snowbank lake at 5am and pay someone to drive our car to the gunflint side and leave it for us...
Anyone know if anyone does this? _we've done this for point to point backpacking trips in the West...
Thanks

Have you checked with any outfitters? Maybe there's an Ely bulletinboard where you could post your request. I would think someone would be willing... maybe.

halvorsonchristopher: "Park in the gunflint.
Get a ride back to town.
Fly from Grand Marais to Ely.
Get ride to starting point.
Sounds awesome!"
Thanks for the tip... unfortunately Im seeing flights from Gran Marais to Ely for like $1500 a person... not affordable for us... are there other options Im not seeing online?

You list your home state as MN. Where?
When I've done a point to point I've just had another car with two friends follow me up to my EP and drop me off. Someone jumps in my car and drives it to the exit point and leaves it. They go home. At the end of my trip I have my car staged and I have another set of keys with me also. It don't matter if I cut the trip short or stay out a few extra days, the car is always there and waiting for me.
Is this feasible for you?
