I watched the 1st 15 mins of the CMA awards and saw the tribute to Charlie Daniels.

Charlie Daniels was great. Saw him at a short-lived event in Chicago called Chicago Fest. It was an attempt to revitalize the decrepit Navy Pier. Of course now it is a nice place. Then not so much. It was me and 100K others there for CDB and the Doobies.

I was at one of the Chicagofests. It was pretty cool

I wonder if Charlie knew about Niccolò Paganini.

A portion of Paganini's piece, Caprice #5, is the music played on guitar that beats the Devil’s head cutter in the movie Crossroads.
