Anybody getting any new fishing gear or lures for Christmas this year? Or are you on the naughty list? :)

For ice season, an Eskimo propane auger, a handful of Kender's K-Rips and t-Rips, and some standard tungsten ice jigs.

For the next BWCA trip, a couple purple Rapala deep diving Taildancers and Strikeking Redeye shads.

For the fly rod, some Airlock strike indicators. Looking for a Thingamabobber alternative.

For hunting, a range finder to go with the crossbow I bought this Fall.

For shooting, some rest bags.

Penn Battle 3 2500 reel and new 6.6 St Croix rod. I'll need to come up with a new excuse next summer as to why I'm not catching fish :)

Hint: It's not the rod and it's not the reel that catches the fish.

I've got my fingers crossed for new wading boots and a fly line (either SA titan multidensity sinking or airflo floating bass/musky). He's getting my kids polarized sunglasses and snaps (but really the snaps are for me, the guy who has to tie knots everytime they want to switch lures).

I got an Ugly Stick rod, Penn Reel, fishing pants and a Bending Branches bent shaft paddle. I'm finally upgrading from my garage sale gear to quality gear suited for the job.
