I'm planning to take my Dad up north for a few days after Easter. He is old and probably can't hike very far or traverse dangerous rocks. Does anybody know of good easily accessible spots to throw some lures from shore for a bit. Anywhere from Two Harbors to the border. Thank you.

The breakwall in Two Harbors is a popular fishing spot. Early mornings can be fairly productive.

If you're looking for a more nature type thing. Stewart river right by Betty's isnt to terrible to get down to.

The mouth of the Split Rock River isn’t hard to access. Parking is along 61 at the wayside.

Shore fishing is also allowed at Iona’s Beach about a mile south of there next to the Twin Points boat launch.

Both places are located about halfway between Gooseberry Falls and the Split Rock Lighthouse.

Is that at McQuade Small Craft Harbor? I was up there a couple years ago (we have a family reunion every summer at the lake breeze) and there were fishing platforms under construction, but I haven't been back since (last year was cancelled due to covid).

Nope - the breakwall right in two harbors. It's down by the ore docks and boat launch.
