Anyone out turkey hunting? Opening day today. Had bunch of birds gobbling this morning. One hen flew down to me this morning. When the toms flew down, they hit the ground and shut up. Not another gobble and it's 11 am. Two more hours. I did hear my buddy shoot earlier.

Not yet, but I have an arrow with Tom's name on it come May.

Good luck!

I think the first season starts Wednesday here. I have third season. Birds are a little funny yet and tough to pattern. Everybody check back in with your hunts!

Had one at my bird feeders this morning. First one I ever saw in my yard. Can't hunt here.

Of course, that never stopped my dad. He used .22 shorts, then got a pellet gun when development got closer.

We have our youth hunt event this weekend for Cross Trail Outfitters in WI. We have five guides taking nine young hunters out. Had a practice hunt last weekend. Fifteen cardboard turkeys were harvested.

Youth hunt for two of my grand daughters this coming weekend in Wisconsin. Several cardboard toms harvested this past Saturday.
Will be putting the blinds out after work on Thursday. We also have tags for first week and a couple for the third week. Will keep you posted and good luck!

Got 2 jakes with one shot at 6:45 this morning. Had 5 jakes walk into my decoys. 5 yards.
Wish I would have got 3 permits instead of 2.

Congrats on the double!

Mission accomplished in SW WI. Arrow and Tom were united this morning.
His buddy then proceeded to pound on my Jake decoy - standing on it and pecking, gouging, clawing and beating it for 10 minutes.

That must have been awesome. This one was 5 yds. The wad must have hit it.

Well done Gents!! Next Wed. morning I start in Wisconsin. My MN hunt over-laps WI. by a day and runs to late May. Hoping it doesn't take that long, or end too soon.
