Well, this post is not to complain about getting older! Glad as I can be to keep having birthdays. But I do have a question for you who are getting a little older! I have always been active outdoors and doing things that I enjoy such as hunting, fishing, paddling, traveling, camping and RVing. Age wise I will only be 65 in October much too young to stop doing things I love. In November 2018 I had a Ischemic Lacunar stroke which affected my vision for about a week. Time and medication got me back to normal, except for the loss of most of my sense of smell. I retired in July of 2020 after 40 years in education so I have time to do what I want to do such as exercise. On June 14 I had rotator cuff repair surgery and while in the recovery room, I had a small TIA (mini stroke) at the time I thought it was due to the anesthesia. A week later I had another one that lasted about 30 minutes. A visit to the ER, a neurologist, a MRI allowed me to find out I was on 100% stroke prevention medication. The TIA's were just unexplained events.
My question is this, has anyone had these TIA's and have they stopped you from doing your normal activity. Let me know!
Thanks! Bruce
Good Paddling, Great Fishing, and God Bless All...
