While doing another search, I found these maps of landowners in Minnesota in 1925. The link to this map is for the Gunflint Trail and Saganaga Lake areas, but there are many other maps for Minnesota and different years at the Historic Map Works website.
Although much of the land was owned by land, mining and lumbering companies, there were very many individual owners.
