I have lost track of this issue and can’t seem to locate the answer.
Was the new order amended to include non pliable material such as a Ursack bag? Or did I just dream that because I was so agitated about the sudden order???
We are looking for Christmas gifts and would prefer bags over vaults for our adult kids but not if they have to be hung. I use both but prefer the sack.

There were posts about it being amended. Maybe look for the in Listening Point and Trip Planning.

It was amended so that Ursacks were permitted. There was a specific reference on, I think, their Facebook page. When the rangers stopped to check my permit a couple of weeks ago, they also asked about my food storage and had no problem with my Ursack.

Here is the link to the SNF's 8/10/21 correction to its food order. The words "solid, non-pliable" were removed from the definition of a bear-resistant container.

Per Forest wide order it remains in effect until "SPECIFICALLY WITHDRAWN BY TERMINATION ORDER OF THE FOREST SUPERVISOR." I can't find a termination order.
