with temps at minus 38-40 degrees F.

They are making the snow sculptures now in Town and always amazed with the talent.

On the bright side about a decade or so ago the sculptures melted in a day or so.

Now that's brutal.

Years ago I went on a 3 day/2 night dog sledding trip. On the second night, the mercury got down to -32º F. That was not my cup of tea.

It seems the Winter Carnival is cursed with thaws nearly every year. I can only remember one or two years when the sculptures were not transformed by thaw within a week.

Again- Temps for the coming week are expected to rise above freezing.

Very true, I remember times the sculptures melted almost right away.
