I think LesliesDad is correct but I'll guess Lake 2 just for the sake of guessing. :)

OK, giveaway time. This lake has 3 portages in and out of it. There are 4 campsites on the lake. If you take the portage from the NE corner of this lake to the next lake to the east you will have the opportunity to view this well known landmark:

iwegean gets it with South Temperance - I really thought it would be easier. Maybe my memories are just that vivid of the lake, one of my favorites.

What is that in the left central part of the photo? Small structure? Something on the beach? I couldn't figure it out.

By zooming in and viewing another photo of the same area it appears to be a big boulder on shore, with some logs lying across it.

Photos were taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMZ 150 bridge or superzoom camera. I now have a Pentax DSLR but at times it is tempting to still bring this camera for convenience and versatility. What I really want is the newest generation of this type of camera which combines the functionality and versatility of bridge cameras with a significantly larger sensor to approach DSLR image quality...but they are not cheap.
