I know motors are allowed on Pipestone and Newton and portage wheels are allowed on those portages. In your personal experience, how much actual motorized usage is ongoing in that area and on Jackfish Bay?
Thanks

Lots. Most campsites were taken by motorboats when I went through Newton and Pipestone a few years ago. I went there again last year and every single site was taken by a motorboat until I found a single empty one at the north end of Pipestone.

I can't comment on Jackfish.

It gets used a fair amount. There is less when you're as far as Jackfish but at least some still there every day I'm sure

This was our experience last summer as well. I won't be returning to that area...too many motorboats.
