I ran into a voyageur on a portage a couple of weeks ago who noticed the scratches on my Northstar Northwind and said he could get most of them out with a mixture of linseed oil and some other type of oil. He said just to mix them together and wipe it down with a rag and the surface scratches would be covered up.
Now that we're home none of us can remember the other oil that he said to use. Has anyone used a mixture of two oils (or more) to put on a rag to wipe down kevlar to get minor surface scratches out?

Blessings,

I would not recommend this. An oil mixture will not remove the scratches. It will simple change the color. If you ever decide the do a thorough refinish that will fill the scratches and give you a smooth hull, this oil treatment may very well interfere with resins bonding to your hull.

Yes, the oil mixture will just hide the scratches for a bit. Just like a 303 treatment makes it look good for a bit.

I agree. The oil won't remove the scratches. I will soak into the scratches and may interfere with any resins used to refinish the hull preventing good adhesion of the resin. Suggest that you ask the builder about this first.
