4keys: "We have a trip planned for East Bearskin. Does anyone know of a place to shower near there after our trip?
"
Unless you outfitted through them, an outfitter will likely charge you, maybe like $5. Well worth it in my opinion.

I did indeed rock down to Electric Avenue, but I did not take it higher. I regret that.

More likely closer to $6.00 to $8.00 as of last week.

Gotcha. Clearly it varies. I paid $5 at Piragis three weeks ago. Maybe higher on the GT since they don't have municipal water/sewer?

SunrisePaddler: "We showered at East Bearskin Lodge last Friday for $5 a person."
We asked them before we went in, they said yes if no one at the lodge reserved the hot tub area. After we came out we were told they don’t do that.

Heyfritty: "I just got one at Tuscarora Lodge. $7 with towel. By far the nicest showers I have used, post-trip.
Fritty "
That is nice, but that is also a considerable trek up the GF Trail. Many more options closer to East Bearskin.

I remember being able to use a shower in an older building in Ely (probably a municipal building of some sort, the one that has or has had a fire truck next to it.) It was kind of in the middle of town, perhaps closer to the west end than east end. Somebody told me about it (maybe Old Scout), and we didn't believe it...but there it was. Private, clean, and quiet.
Anybody know what I'm talking about?
