Hey, I'm heading up from KC October 1st. Any road construction I need to know about? There was a detour in St Paul in June we negotiated without trouble.

I have some unfinished business on the Little Indian Sioux North (EP14). Planning 7-8 days to complete what we/I didn't get done in June. It's my attempt at Tony's (Gopher Adventure) small lakes loop video clockwise or counterclockwise. Please don't be a stranger if you happen to see me along the way.

Any thoughts/advice will be appreciated.

Thanks & Cheers!!

There is a section around Moose lake that is under construction and brins you down to a single lane for about 10(?) miles. I would say as long as you're not coming north on a Friday it should mostly be a non-issue.

Hey Martian, Sorry I'm no help on the road construction question. Perhaps route it on a google map and usually it'll give you pretty good info.

As for your unfinished business on LISN...have a great trip! Hopefully you have excellent fall weather so you can enjoy the loop.

I had a nasty bout with the 'rona two weeks before my solo LISN trip this year and wasn't strong enough to complete the loop. Last year my two daughters and I were 20 some miles in and one of them got really sick and we weren't able to stay as long as we would've liked. So I, too, have unfinished business on LISN but it'll have to wait until next year.

Don't forget to check out the pictos on your route.

There is a set in a campsite Finger Lake. The western most campsite on the southern island.

There is a small set on Rocky Lake also.

One of my favorite trips was on this route. Have a great time.

Thanks for all the responses.
Yes, lots of paddling, portaging, pictos, photography & some fishing are on the docket. Well, that in some amazing scenery. Completing the loop error free would be fantastic. Based on the long range weather it appears wind direction dictates clockwise. Can't wait to get underway.
Thanks again.

Had the privilege of staying there once. One of my favorite sites in the entire place!
