In 2018 my paddle partner and I had an exceptional ten day, late April adventure on the Little Missouri from Marmarth to the Highway 85 overpass north of the North Section of TRNP. Weather and water conditions were in our favor as we enjoyed a rarely traveled river and saw many large mammals and a wealth of migratory waterfowl. The only big challenge in 2018 was the logistical arrangement of shuttle/resupply help. After extensive searching I landed upon two individuals in my former (I'm now retired) professional network who could help us out.
It is my intent, water level willing, to again explore this beautiful watershed late April of 2023 with a troop total of two canoes and four intrepid canoists. Unfortunately my 2018 shuttle resources have moved on and are no longer available. Thus I am reaching out to the BWCA.com community to hire a reliable shuttle crew, using my vehicle/trailer, to insert in Marmarth (@ April 20), resupply in Medora (@ April 25/25) and extract at the Highway 85 crossing (@April 30/May1st) and store my vehicle and trailer while we are on the water. The support team doesn't necessarily need to be a canoe camper or even BWCA member, but preferably live in the Dickenson, Medora or central western North Dakota area. We have a budgeted amount for this support comparable to other shuttle services across the country.
If you are interested, are willing and are able to help my crew out or have family or know of anyone in that area who could, please send me an email and for more information.
