I humbly offer this self-promoting post...
If you've been a BWCA paddler for a while and you've been considering what your next canoeing adventure might be (and you're within driving distance of Madison, WI), you might consider attending Canoecopia and sitting in on my seminar titled Quetico: Your Next Adventure. I'll guarantee a top notch presentation with plenty of good information to help you plan that first or second trip to Quetico.
Hope to see you there. Stop up and say hello afterward!

It's been quite a few years since I last attended Canoecopia so I decided it was time this year. I have my hotel reservations, so now I need some good traveling weather. (Decided to make reservations cancellable, just in case). Praying for good weather.
If I make it, I will be in the audience and will stop up to say hello or at least wear a BWCA.com neckerchief or t-shirt or both.

HowardSprague: "Enjoyed this presentation last year. Great content, enthusiasm, delivery. And the best part, he was accompanied by the Jackfish Dancers!"
LOL… good one, Howie! Lots of spandex and red fur trader toques.

Mocha: "Could someone record it and then make a YouTube of it?"
Hi Mocha, After I saw your question, I asked Darren (the mastermind behind 'Copia and Rutabaga owner but he prefers to be called the paddling evangelist!) if a virtual option is available and he said they couldn't swing it this year. I imagine someone could record it on their phone and share it if there isn't any legal stuff getting in the way.

It would be great if someone could record.
Wonder what the cost would be to do that thru copia?

Hi Mocha,
Here's the response I received: "Sadly, no, the platform costs a fortune and we couldn't even break even. Hopefully in 2024 we'll find a new solution."
That said, I would imagine Jackfish, or any presenter, could ask to record their presentation with a phone and post it on youtube.

I'll put in one more plug for anyone who might be interested in sitting in on my Canoecopia presentation, "Quetico Provincial Park: Your Next Adventure".
Two sessions: Friday night at 6:30 and Sunday afternoon at 1:30. Hope to see you there.

Are they the same presentation? I can't make Friday night, but I can on Saturday.
Mike
I did indeed rock down to Electric Avenue, but I did not take it higher. I regret that.

Mike... yes, I will be giving the same presentation twice, but the second one is on Sunday at 1:30.
