I have question about ticks have any of you outdoors veterans (experts) heard of anyone having natural immunity to the little b@#$&rd’s
I have been playing in the great outdoors for most of my 60 years and have never had a tick on my body or clothes but anyone with me will without fail will have at least one

Ticks... "maybe". Mosquitos... I would say I find that hard to believe. You can honestly say that you've never had a mosquito on you or a mosquito bite? Please elaborate. You could get your DNA bottled and become a bazillionaire.

I can't see any way any type of immunity would keep them off your clothes if you're in tick country.

My wife is a Public Health Nurse and one of her areas of expertise is tick borne illnesses. She says while ticks seem to be more attracted to some people more than others, that there is no natural immunity and you should consider yourself fortunate.

Ok yes I get mosquito bites but people around me will be swatting and complaining they don’t seem to bother me and I have found a few ticks on my clothing over the years I have never seen one on my skin

Here are 9 reasons why mosquitoes prefer some people more than others.

ticks are kinda seasonal. they are abundant when it starts to go from brown to green leaf season. that is when i do controlled burns on the farm. that takes care of ALot of the ticks. once summer hit s and its getting warm and dry out. tics just vanish around here. its june 3 today and dont think i have found 1 crawling on me or the dog in the last month. but i dont roll around in knee high grasss, if i can help it. even when i do. i dont find them in the dry season.. i rebuilt maybe a 1/2 mile of cattle fence, this spring and only found 1 crawling on my hat brim.

That seems very true with the common wood tick, but those deer ticks keep having various hatching stages and have got them while deer hunting with snow on the ground-sun warmed up a side of tree and ticks got active.

My husband gets 3-4 times more ticks than me when we are in the same areas. He also gets attacked by a lot more mosquitoes than me...reading that linked list makes me see why...he has a lot more attractants. Also, when mosquitoes bite me, I don't notice unless it is finger or face and the bites don't itch. I travel in shorts most of the time.
