Is it doable to paddle from Moose Lake (#25) all the way to Saganaga Lake? Has anyone done it? How many miles/hours?

My son and I did that - continued Through Seagull, Gabi, and back to Snowbank and Moose. 2 days from Sucker (we left EP in afternoon and camped on Birch just minutes out of Sucker.) One mapping site says 33 to 34 miles - just 26 or 27 from our site on Birch. Relatively easy iirc. No killer portages. 2 hours up Moose and 10 hours over 2 days to Sag.

I've done it quite a few times, and others have too. 30 miles in 8 hours. That would be solo, single portaging, and pushing hard.

Quickest route is along the canadian border, but there are other longer ways to get there too.

Than you Bill. It helps me to get a better idea in terms of the length and time. Appreciate your reply!

Thanks for your answer. Looks like to get to get to Saganaga Lake is to hire an outfitter to get a tow. Can I drive straight to Saganaga Lake entry point #55 and park there, unless there is no parking lot there?

You can also get a tow from Moose to the Birch Lake liftover. Since you said you did Birch to Sag before, this is also doable. Mike Vosburgh could arrange the tow as can others on Moose.
